ASPCA Grant 2018

On July 6, 2018, the ASPCA awarded a $200,000 grant to the Department of Animal Services. The grant will cover adoption fees for cats over four months of age in the six Los Angeles City animal shelters beginning August 24, 2018. With this grant and support from the ASPCA, LA Animal Services will be able to provide 8,000 free cat adoptions!

We currently have hundreds of wonderful adult cats ready for their new homes. Their headshots may not show off their best angle– or have perfect lighting, so stop by today to meet the stars in person! LA Animal Services cats are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped. Adopters will need to provide a valid government issued identification card when adopting. All six LA City Animal Services Centers are open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm and Sunday 11 am to 5 pm. We are closed on Mondays and holidays. To find the center nearest you, visit Shelter Locator or call (888) 452-7381.
