New Hope
New Hope Partners Helping Los Angeles Shelter Animals

New Hope partners are private nonprofit animal rescue organizations that work with us to save the lives of our most vulnerable animals.

The New Hope Program was implemented to eliminate obstacles that might
prevent saving the lives of the animals most at risk of euthanasia due to
behavioral or medical conditions.

These animals are placed on our New Hope Alert lists after which all adoption
and microchip fees are reduced or waived for our New Hope Partners.

ASPCA

We Are Their Voice

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world.

The ASPCA’s mission, as stated by founder Henry Bergh in 1866, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”

Best Friends

"We absolutely love animals — and we think humans are pretty swell, too."

That’s why they have people around the country working to make the world a kinder and more compassionate place.

Working together, they are building on this foundation of compassion and inclusion to help both pets and people. They’re making sure that everyone has the same access to loving pets and that every adoptable pet has access to the comfort of a foster home instead of a kennel in a shelter.

Human Animal Support Services

HASS is committed to community collaboration to reimagine the role of animal services.

Human Animal Support Services is based on elements that each partner organization will implement in their communities. HASS provides policies, tools and training to create meaningful change, reducing intake and housing most pets in homes, not kennels. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, caring people across the US and throughout the world have enthusiastically adopted, fostered, donated, fed and otherwise cared for animals in need. In this time of tremendous uncertainty, HASS provides a path forward. HASS aims to create critical engagement among animal welfare organizations to build a system to better address the modern needs of communities when it comes to animal services.
