Kitten Season
Kitten Season is the time of year when an enormous influx of kittens enter animal shelters that typically occurs in the Spring and lasts throughout Summer. LA Animal Services needs the help of our community to manage the increased intake of kittens during these very busy months.

LA Animal Services has resources below to let you know what to do if you see baby kittens in your backyard as well as a foster handbook if you’re ready to be kitten foster hero. Because it’s all hands on deck during kitten season, we also have additional helpful resources available from our partners at the The Human Animal Support Services project.
