LA Animal Services has been serving our community for more than 150 years. We operate six LA Animal Services Centers across Los Angeles and are made up of shelter and field staff dedicated to the care of animals in our City, and an administrative team who ensures shelter operations run smoothly, while providing support and assistance to the community.

Our new logo is called “Animal Forward” and it speaks to the way forward as we reimagine and transform the way our shelters are caring for animals, both in and out of our Centers by working collaboratively with the community. A dog, cat, and rabbit are representative of some of the animals who make their way into our shelters, while the cityscape, mountains, and foothills, represent the communities we support, which includes pets, the people who love them, and the wildlife surrounding our city who call Los Angeles home.
